The Happiness and Excitement of a Holiday Wedding
The two most popular days when couples want to get married are January 1 and February 14. Obviously, these are holidays and this may be a primary reason why couples would die to get a space at a cathedral during these dates. A nobler and more passionate reason could be because romance is in the air during these days (more so during Valentine’s Day).
Holidays also reveal the best in everyone, hence, it is the best moment for merriment and celebrations. You may like to keep in mind that you have to prepare the necessary arrangements way ahead of the scheduled wedding date. Holiday weddings just are not as easy as a wedding held on normal dates.
Because you are choosing to tie the knot on a holiday, it is important you keep the motif of your wedding throughout the ceremony and reception. Everything should click - from the venue, to the wedding favors, even down to the wedding guest book and pen set.
For instance, think about getting married on New Year’s Day. Since it is a time for parties, foods, and lots of drinks, you have to make sure everything concerning the wedding is intended for partying. It’s hard to be all solemn during this day as everyone would just want to party. If you can manage to have your marriage officiator say “You may now kiss the bride” just when the clock ticks twelve, then you’ve got one memorable wedding ahead!
If you like a day of romance and passion to be your Big Day, then you have all the right. Just be sure that you plan at least 6 months in advance as there are some couples who would also vie for that same date at your chosen chapel. Because it’s a day of love, you might wish to avert disasters by ensuring that wedding place card holders do their jobs - in short, having two guests who don’t see each other eye to eye means putting them at both ends of the reception area. It is all about careful planning and management.
What about a Christmas wedding? If red is the primary color for Valentine’s Day, then white reigns supreme on a winter wedding. You could choose to showcase your pure white wedding dress with green, red, or gold sequins or ribbons.
St. Patrick’s Day is all about green stuff. You could use this color on your wedding reception venue while using pots of gold as centerpieces. You could even stylize your wedding place card holder with the greenest glitters you could get!
Think of it this way - holiday weddings are enjoyable since you won’t have to think about a theme for your wedding any longer. Also, isn’t it much more interesting if you are celebrating two occasions in just one day?
