Five Guys Hits the Bay Area
On my last trip to the DC area, a buddy of mine told me about this "nice burger place". First off I consider myself a fast food fanatic.. if there is such a thing. You can drag me to anyplace if you promise a nice hamburger at the end of it.

Being from California, I regarded In-N-Out burger on top of the food chain when it comes to burgers. Thus it was with a little bit of subdued expectation that I went with my friend in to this curiously named place called Five Guys. And that really turned out to be a enjoyable surprise. This was back in 2001.

Five guys is vastly popular in the DC area (Virginia, Maryland ). Five guys has been unheard of in Calfiornia right up until very recently.
